Oracle Database XE 11.2 Beta is out

No joke! On 1 april Oracle released the beta of Oracle XE 11.2.
From the Oracle website: Oracle Database 11g Express Edition (Oracle Database XE) is a free version of the world's most capable relational database. Oracle Database XE is easy to install, easy to manage, and easy to develop with. With Oracle Database XE, you use an intuitive, browser-based interface to administer the database, create tables, views, and other database objects, import, export, and view table data, run queries and SQL scripts, and generate reports.

SQL Developer 3.0 Final released

On 29 march the final release of SQL developer 3.0 is released and is available for download on OTN: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/sql-developer/downloads/index.html.
Some new features are:
Data Miner: A new SQL Developer extension, Oracle Data Miner is the graphical user interface for Oracle Data Mining, an option to the Oracle Database Enterprise Edition.
Data Modeler: SQL Developer Data Modeler 3.0 is now fully integrated, providing read and write access for designing and developing data models.
Exporting and Importing: The Importing and Exporting wizards have been updated to support a wider range of choices.
Query Builder: Visual SQL Query Builder with an object drag and drop feature from the connection navigator to the Query Builder view.
SQL Tuning: SQL Tuning Advisor analyzes high-volume SQL statement and offers tuning recommendations.
